Mac mini 2011 won't see firewire 400 audio interface

hello.
i've tried lot of things before coming here. let me introduce situation.

new macmini 2011 (lion 10.7.3, 5g ram, 500 hd) won't see audio interface @ all. won't appear @ midi/audio utilities.
know audio interface ok because works fine macbook.
tried lots of different adapters , cables, no results. tested working audio interface wouldn't seen @ all.
know firewire connection working cause can access hd computer using firewire cables.

have contact manufacturer of audio interface, hardware working fine lion , i'm using correct driver.

else can do, im lost here. thanks!!

 

try going 1 gb sticks of ram have 1 , 4gb stick.

try single 4gb stick.

remove every other plug in usb or thunderbolt have hooked up.
