iPhone 4 Display Looks Better Than 4S?

i got iphone 4s on launch, upgrading old 4, , instantly, noticed difference in screen. on 4s, can see pixels, whereas on 4, not. lot of people in family have iphone 4, , when see phones, screen looks crisper , easier read. i'm not sure why is. has noticed this, or there explanation it?

 

i have 1 of each side side right , see no difference.
