iMovie playing poorly

we using imac (intel) imovie 10. haven't had problems in years, now, when create project (photo montage music), while looks fine in playback, after "exporting" (to desktop), , playing export back, pictures jumpy , "moving" etc. can't seem figure out setting change fix this. have suggestion
