how can i save JUST my contacts to my desktop/pc, not itunes

i have backup in case happened phone/itunes....is possible save contacts pc in non-itunes file future use in case of emergency add new phone if ever had

 

iirc, automatically synced address book on mac.

on win, i'm not sure ... icloud?
