Home button replacement?

i have iphone 4 , when press home button works doesn't. im wondering how cost replace? have no clue whether apple need bit of here

if it's still under warranty and/or applecare, should replaced free. if you're out of warranty, apple charges $149 out-of-warranty replacements.

did purchase phone credit card? cc companies double original manufacture's warranty - giving free applecare. if did, call them , ask (i'm in middle of process myself).

there repair shops and/or do-it-yourself kits available...but wouldn't recommend it.


in meantime, can turn on "assistivetouch" under settings-->general--> accessibility. puts virtual home button on screen.
