Dreamweaver: Times, Times New Roman, not loading in application

i'm on computer using 10.6.8, snow leopard , dreamweaver cs5. when apply style of times new roman text, remains in it's default state (sans serif). when apply font family style, including times , default serif font, font still appears sans serif. makes seem dreamweaver thinks font has times, or default down font family chain. when preview in browser correct times new roman font used.

thought might adobe apps photoshop , illustrator display times fine. we've validated font in font book, cleared duplicate problems other fonts in font book. we've used onyx clear font cache several times, , font finagler clear cache while keeping intact disabled fonts. after clearing catch dreamweaver goes kind of font routine , takes 15 minutes out of it. when sample process activity monitor see running tons of font related routines. 1 time after routine correct times new roman font appeared! after program restart disappeared again.

also, in preferences font dialog (for choosing application fonts) font list abruptly stops after fonts starting letters "th" , resumes 3 z fonts. have lot of fonts between range, don't show up, leading me believe kind of bug in dreamweaver causing lower portion of font list not load/initialize.

can help? has else encountered problem?

it's due fact stylesheet declaration malformed.
how should look:

you should using '=' not ':'
