Touchpad problem?

so, touchpad isn't working on glass desk bought. cursor impossible move, no matter how hard try. then, right when put on lap or wooden desk or couch, works fine. there reason this? should do? sorry, i'm still new macbooks.

 

you mean, trackpad on top of macbook, below keyboard (pictured below) not working, when macbook (which exact model btw?*) placed on glass surface, though trackpad not touching glass surface?
or mean mouse (magic mouse) or external trackpad (magic trackpad)?
