it's not "panic attack". it's called kernel panic. if doesn't happen again, or infrequently, don't worry it.

sophos should avoided, increase mac's vulnerability, described here , here. recommend uninstall it. effective method complete app removal manual deletion:

don't need 3rd party antivirus app keep mac malware-free. macs not immune malware, no true viruses exist in wild can run on mac os x, , there never have been since released on 10 years ago. cannot infect mac visiting website, unzipping file, opening email attachment or joining network. malware in wild can affect mac os x handful of trojans, cannot infect mac unless actively install them, , can avoided basic education, common sense , care in software install. also, mac os x snow leopard , lion have anti-malware protection built in, further reducing need 3rd party antivirus apps.

1. make sure built-in mac firewall enabled in system preferences > security > firewall
   
   
2. uncheck "open "safe" files after downloading" in safari > preferences > general
   
   
3. uncheck "enable java" in safari > preferences > security. leave unchecked until visit trusted site requires java, re-enable visit site. (this not confused javascript, should leave enabled.)
