Iphone freezes when I plug in headphone... HELP

i have sprint iphone 4s bought on december... 1 day noticed everytime plugged in headphone phone started freezing. went nearby apple store , recommended me reset factory settings. fixed while seems happen again... every time plug in headphone jack phone freezes , turns off. can fix issue... please thank you...

 

sounds there's short or something. "just reset it" isn't useful advice. should have competent @ it.
