Android clobbers Siri in Japanese... and English

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03/14/siri_in_japan/

apple's attempts natural-language assistant speak japanese haven't gone down locally, getting trounced android-based syabette concier.

we're grateful kotaku translation, demonstrates how siri fails provide directions hospital when told of user has stomach ache, , can't work out when looking recipes curry, unlike docomo-provided alternative runs on android handsets.

it's not first time siri has been found wanting, when compared android. following motorola's assertions voice recognition on atrix 2 comprehensively outperform siri, gizmodo did own testing , confirmed default software android better @ recognising spoken instructions in english in japanese.

misses point of apple, , iphone. android might technically leading platform, iphone users don't want @ bleeding edge of technology: want buy apple's projected lifestyle. no 1 buys phone 'cos it's marginally better @ recognising voice commands – we're long way when matters.

in mean time siri enough, , it's not **** @ all:

i wish spoke japanese understand first video on referenced link.
