iTunes & iPhoto quited unexpectedly

i need 1st gen. mba. during sync-ing iphone4 itunes in process of upgrading 10.5.3, prompted me restart system , pressed button. after restart, itunes , iphoto not launch properly. gave me pop box stating itunes/iphoto quit unexpectedly. here extract of message:-

tried number of suggested solutions based on other forum discussions such deleting .plist files , removing itunes , reinstalling did not work.
