iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 to 5.0.1

ok want upgrade phone ios 5. have never done myself. phone jailbroken , unlocked w cydia. how go doing this? should upgrade 4.3.5 5.0.1 work , keep jailbreak , unlock? or can in 1 step? have read alot of people having
problems updating 3gs i've never read of in position.

appreciated.
i'm noon need step step instructions.
