Can I re-jailbreak 3G (running 4.2.1) to newer 5.0.1 JB???

i've searched everywhere , every ipsw newer 4.2.1 doesn't list 3g compatible device. there jb allow me restore 5.0.1 jb 3g?

i'm sorry if dumb question can't find in search , every time google it shows 3gs. jb's same 3gs , 3g?

please, please help!!!
