my friend's phone acting fool , use fresh restore. needs stay unlocked t-mobile, what's best route?

if phone has old bootrom version, create custom 5.1 ipsw , restore 5.1. far know, has been worked out on getting jailbreak untethered , unlock working 6.15.00 on ios 5.1.

if it's new bootrom, check cydia or tinyumbrella see shsh's has on file. depending on saved , wants, can create custom ipsw , restore phone way.
