first of all, "a connection timeout has occured" dialog box keeps coming annoying. expect 1000$+ computer able connect internet same way 200$ asus does.
that's not biggest problem.
have 2 different wifi's @ house. 1 use, , 1 use because 20% of time mbp can't connect 1 want. can't connect second 1 have mobile broadband too, lot faster other ones have 20gb per month on it.
when woke computer sleep used connect wifi1 time , if wanted connect wifi2 have go through menu , click on it.
but, ever since added password wifi1, won't connect it. never does. connects wifi2 incredibly annoying.
yes, have taken other networks out in network preferences. 1 on list 1 want connect automatically.
problem same on both macs.
know if there solution incredibly stupid problem?
shouldn't apple fix "connection timeout" problem, lot of people seem have, simple software update?
love macs wanna throw them out window.
so under network > airport > advanced > preferred networks have wifi1 top option , still selects wifi2?
wifi1's password saved in keychain well?
i've noticed similar, less odd. have similar setup (wifi1 pw wifi, wifi2 open internet downstairs), except i'm connected via ethernet cable coming out of wifi1's router (i have small place , located @ desk, why not).
however, after time wifi1's wireless connection totally disappears list of networks , connects wifi2. i'm still using ethernet wifi1's router, if disconnect goes 2 , takes time 1's wireless pop usually. never noticed doing before.
