Is there a future for iPad 2 ?

i wasn't ios stuff until given opportunity borrow ipad 2 work , take home weekend.

family , myself instantly hooked. cut long story short : want one.

of course, we're going wait until ipad 3 released, i'm not sure yet if we're going choose latest version. ipad 2 seems capable , rumour has it, apple going continue ipad @ lower price point.

question is, when ipad 3 launched, how of future there left ipad 2, if it's cheaper. developers releasing apps exclusively ipad 3's retina display leaving ipad 2 (and 1) in cold.
ipad 2 still choice ? there new apps run on ipad 2 ?

maybe ipad 1 owners can give feedback here. left behind release of ipad 2 ? apps missing out on ?
