iChat directional connectivity issues

ok have wierd 1 here -

have macbookpro15 2 years old running os 10.6.8 having connection problem video chatting fathers 2007 imac running os 10.6.8 - can send him video chat request , goes thru instantly when accepts it. when sends me video chat request not go thru - here strange part - bought 2011 macbookpro13 running os 10.7.2 mom use (grandkids video chatting) , same thing !! can send vid request , establish link - when sends me vid request either don't receive or times out waiting establish. side note running cable modem thru airport extreme box @ house , parents house running dsl thru airport express @ theirs. got tonight compare settings dont see in ichat changed.....

if 2 way problem, not perplexed - fact works long initiate chat makes no sense me...



got ideas??

2 things forgot mention in original problem description:

1- using aim screen names

2- problem existed prior airport express being installed @ parents house - when added laptop added airport , problem extended both computers - problem there before had second computer or airport, has me scratchin head......
