Best free texting app for iOS 5?

hey guys,

wondering best free texting ap ios 5? i'm using textie, whenever send text destine use app shows weird cryptic number. reason know me because none of other friends use app. there send messages , have number attached, shows on phone regular sms, i.e. name , not mystery numbers? also, textie @ moment not let me send messages, making me think servers down or something... weird, , first time happened not big deal, still, there has better. have thoughts?
