Whats the knock on Apples smart cover?

i , functionality of it. displays ipad nicely. knock doesent give protection?

 

it's overpriced 1 , front protection.. you're forced lay on it's smartcover protection, hides "sexy" of smartcover.

it's made well, however... more designer function. have 2 brand new smart covers unopened.. think i'll returning them different full-portfolio cases.
