has left me totally perplexed last couple of weeks:confused:. need connect client home network uses cisco ip sec. using mac's inbult vpn client via netwrok settings setup my vpn.
seems setup ok, when click on connect dialogue box asking me "enter user authentication" 2 buttons "cancel" , "ok". there no place enter information. if click on ok, attempts connect while before times-out message saying "the negotiation vpn server failed. verify server address , try reconnecting."
have 1 more cisco ipsec vpn connection on same machine (imac) different client, works charm. no issues.
both cisco vpn connections work fine when connect using windows machine.

have endlessly searched blogs, forums, usergorups etc without help. though have seen similar issues, not been able find solutions work.

must have encountered similar issue , must have solved it. or pointers appreciated
there other vpn clients available xos systems use cisco ipsec? :apple

are sure have set vpn account correctly, required information?
