hello
bought new samsung monitor (s27a950d, http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitor/led-monitor/ls27a950ds/xs) , i'm having issues connecting it. purchased thunderbolt hdmi cable, , connects fine. i'm typing on monitor.
however, problem see pixels flickering on screen , think i've eliminated problem down mac, , not monitor.
here's how did that:
1. changed refresh rate in settings 60 hertz down 24 hertz, flickering stops.
2. turned on monitor without connecting computer, nice, dark, , non-flickering screen.
so, i'm positive has mac. tried friends mbp, same model, same cable, , same issue.
i'm not sure if video card problem or cable problem, need guide on figuring out please!!
thanks!
changing refresh rate clear issues indicative of cable or monitor. swap out cable (try mini display port dvi-d)
