Upgrading Hard Drive :)

so bought macbook in spring of 09' believe , came 160 gb hard drive has 8 gb of space left.

looking upgrade have few questions...

1) top hard drives recommended has above 300 gb of space? in terms of speed, quiet, battery life, quality, etc.

2) how make replacement without losing have on old hard drive...i'd transfer stuff on hard drive onto new one.

3) have install lion onto new hard drive cd correct?

 

1. seagate momentus xt 500 gb , 750 gb hdd liked.
2. buy new hdd, usb enclosure 2.5" s-ata hdds, put new hdd enclosure, connect hdd mac, format new hdd correctly*, download , open carboncopycloner, select old hdd source, new hdd target, press clone.
