NTSC vs PAL DVD rips

hoping who's ripped both ntsc , pal standard-definition dvds can tell me if notice of difference when playing them on apple tv, ipad etc?

being in australia, of collection in higher-resolution pal, have quite few titles in ntsc , wondering if it's worth while "upgrading" them pal?

they're old sitcoms , sf series.

addendum: if show made in us, pal dvds upconverted ntsc masters anyway?

from limited collection of ntsc dvds (i have pal), pal looks better, it's not noticeable on playback.

have frame rate conversion ntsc->pal (often it's run ~4% faster), ntsc version arguable closer original, though has lower resolution.

overall, equivalent.
