Is it possible to install Paint.NET on Mac OSX Lion via Wine?

here's i'm to.
i've installed wine 1.2.3
i've installed .net framework 2.0 winetricks.
have paint.net setup file on desktop.
using correct, outdated version of paint.net version of .net framework, still happens on version, 3.5.10 (the latest)

it appears finish, throws error can't make sense of.

i not think find answer question on forum. things here geared more mac specifically, think better helped on wine forums.

being said, add 3 cents worth (the price went ). ran wine on several different linux distro's , found buggy @ best , unusable @ worst. in cases wine works better apps. older generation , least number of things app. depends on better (for example: mdac, jet, .net). have better support paid application like: codeweavers, have pay support.

think making large challenge , wonder if needs cannot serviced native mac application. have used paint.net , yes pretty nifty free application, @ end of day still limited.

$30 can pixelmator app. store. if not wish pay, there plethora of free apps. available you, many of respected in foss community - gimp leaps mind. others can try: chocoflop (i ran under sl - no problem, have not tried lion), inkscape, iphoto, please check site:

think should save pain , find application run natively on mac.

failing try vm - virtualbox free , more stable trying use wine.
