wirelessly posted (mozilla/5.0 (iphone; cpu iphone os 5_0_1 mac os x) applewebkit/534.46 (khtml, gecko) version/5.1 mobile/9a405 safari/7534.48.3)

i'm thinking building gaming pc in future. hear it's possible build 1 low $500. instead of spending money on upcoming consoles wii u, i'd spend money build gaming pc. kind of parts graphic cards can folks recommend me?

you'll have decide how want prioritize purchases. if want case, case. spent $35 on case, , "good enough". of course, can spend $100 on case. either way, spend money on case , motherboard, they're hardest swap out @ later date.

i'd go gigabyte motherboard, newegg 4-5 star reviews should good, try newer technology, it'll more up-to-date longer. spend $100-$120 on previous generation high-end motherboard bells , whistles.

hard drive... pick poison. every company has , bad drives, read reviews , try avoid buying hdd bad batch.

ram... cheapest, unless plan on overclocking it.

dvd drive... unless have specific need, cheapest.

cpu... go amd, because it's not expensive , it's enough. if went intel, i'd end spending $100 or between cpu , motherboard.

gpu... budget $100.

when built computer, spent $300 @ first, used $18 cpu in $100 motherboard, spent $20 on 2gb of ram , $80 on hdd. later on, upgraded more ram , got dedicated video card. , upgraded tri-core cpu. important thing foundation there strong computer - motherboard.

if want specifics let me know.
