ATV stops home cinema system from functioning

after using apple tv, panasonic tv stops talking panasonic surround sound system (through hdmi/viera link). need unplug atv's hdmi , power-cycle whole lot before tv , sound system work happily again.

have same issue/any ideas why happens?

 

a few tests mean can more specific - problem arises when hdmi atv remains plugged in, mains power atv cut.

advice or comments recieved.
