Any way to get rid of Mission Control

as music producer , old windows user i've been utterly careful when updating newer version of operating system. while experience macs cause less problems (at least older versions of) windows - mantra 'don't try fix what's not broken' runs in head.

anyway - couple of weeks did update lion snow leopard on 1 of laptops see how was. while of experience positive - the new mission control horrible. can't see miniature screens contain more - way small - , haven't found way make them larger.

since working on 6 different "spaces" @ time - feature critical me. know prior sl there products creating virtual desktops.

know if there exists other virtual desktop solutions lion?
