Question about Lion regarding servers.

i find server listed "john smith's public folder" on lion.

1. click on apple logo in upper left hand corner.
2. hover on , activate menu "recent items."
3. under servers "john smith's public folder" appears.

if attempt click on get:
http://i.imgur.com/b7tzr.png

normal? when click on it, says server called "m" or along lines. i'm brand new mac appreciate response. apologize if painfully obvious. purchased computer used unsure if perhaps on computer, or if maybe previous user connected (which make sense).

this odd error message. strangely enough, i've ran in before. first ask, penn state student? correct answer relevant problem.
