Married, claim zero, they only take out 7.6% for federal taxes??

so got first pay stub @ new job. have claimed 0 big return because i'd rather have windfall every year huge bill (save "don't give govt. interest free loan!" argument time, not interested in going there time). did married in past year, know makes big difference in favor.

so, on w4 claimed 0 number of dependents (line d: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf ), , filled out allowances (lines a-c) described each line.

but, looking @ check stub, withheld paltry 7.6% federal taxes?!? , state, 3.5%!

, good, not want have pay in large sum @ end of year.

additionally, next state/federal withholding on check stub, says "filing status: m4" , i'm not sure means i'm sure has withholding.

fwiw, on w4, entered "1" on each of lines a, b, , c, each line's instructions said do. however, in basic instructions above, says can claim 0 allowances well...should have zeroed out of lines?

under impression these years claiming 0 referred dependents, dependents , allowances? it's been years since i've had fill out w-4.

prsi here come !!
