hi everyone,
im trying fix 1st gen ipod touch, , know there many threads this, need more specific solution. im going see if can fixed professional, there few things wrong it.
1. screen cracked
2. home button not work more
3. battery cables come loose (from interior of ipod)
4. turns on when use old fire wire cable charger, makes turn on when connector (that connects cable ipod) @ angle
5. seems charge when connect mac doc station , usb cable, yet again when ipod @ angle
on aching problem need fixed is: how make come on , stay on without having stay on power? seems battery issue, have ruled out because 2 months back, tried using it, , worked while, until stopped again. strange case, , suggestions great.
the battery cables on itouch first generation soldered onto logic board. if "coming loose" chances either need them soldered securely onto board or need new battery together.
check pocket lint/gunk inside charging/usb dock of itouch.. may why connecting @ angle.
sounds need battery, in worst case scenario logic board.. , story.
