iPhone iPhone 4S on Boost Mobile

hi. planning buy iphone 4s, wouldn't on contract carrier. boost mobile has great deals, , i've heard of people have been able use iphone on it.

boost uses sprint towers, , believe same baseband. uses cdma, however, believe can sim card it. idk, saw on website, under 'activation'. i've looked on internet, haven't found hard evidence, if know mean.

there way achieve this? way change esn, or that?(which, before yells @ me, not illegal anywhere in us.)

or if buy unlocked iphone 4s, work sim card? help!
