iOS 5.1 Upgrade - Unknown Error (11)

hi,

have 3gs factory unlocked running on ios 4.1.

went 5.1 update [shift+update] device stopped following error message:

on clicking more information tab in error message directed following page:

ios: resolving update , restore alert messages

device remains in dfu mode , following message on connecting itunes;

itunes has detected iphone in recovery mode. must restore iphone before can used itunes.

got device out of dfu mode using tinyumbrella, again got same message on updating.

had updated itunes 10.6 prior connecting device.

pls assist resolving error message.

 

disabled antivirus, used usb port & tried doing restore [shift+restore] still no luck; got same error message.
