Frustration and syncing with Gmail contacts

ok - have spent lot of time trawling solution this, cant find works, anywhere.

objective adress books play on various devices , not...ideally change made on 1 device replicate automatically on others.

use blackberry (the new one), ipad 2, macbook pro (mail app , address book) , use online version of gmail.

blackberry uses built in google integration , snycs gmail fine. so, no issue there...

ipad 2 set use 'exchange' contact sync, works fine (http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740) although 'linked contacts' thing (i.e. duplicates show single contact) frankly strange , seems complicate matters.

mac address book is/was set using “synchronise google” option within mac address book using ‘on mac’ database. doesn't sync gmail bi-directionally. i.e. change on gmail replicated on macbook, single change single contact on mac address book somehow results in next sync changing hundreds of contacts on both databases - loathe , need unpick manually.

have tried have ipad 2 sync macbook pro, because of 'linked addresses' thing, changes on ipad2 dont seem reflected on mac address book , cant make use 'exchange' contact group.

ideas?? thinking of purchasing app have seen on app store, want ensure solves problem , have done right far first...

i find icloud flawless @ sync mobileme before it. suggest put mac , ipad on icloud , add google sync 1 device bb gets admitted party. further suggest avoid markspace missing sync , blackberry desktop os x experience sync methods not one.

there shareware available sync mac google. continue sync bb google , you'd set.

in fall 2010, went bb iphone 4 , couldn't happier. considered droid incredible , newer bb possible options in end iphone 4 right choice me. if find bb compelling reason, means figure out sync thing if you're flexible kind of smartphone use, going all-apple , using icloud removes sync difficulties once , all.
