have video files on home server , i'm looking solution stream them on internet via ssl/https safari on iphone? can point me in right direction?
air video isn't encrypted that's out.

easiest way set web server , using ssl key (either self-signed or getting free startssl class 1 key), deliver files via http iphone playback on web browser. it'll recognize file , use mobile quicktime components play back.
of course if videos aren't in iphone-playable format, you'll need use handbrake or similar convert videos there first.
