Dell U2410 / Asus PA246Q - compatible with Macbook or macmini?

looking decent quality ips display dual display set up. narrowed down list of displays have features - , prices - go for:
- dell ultrasharp u2410
- asus pa246q

know whether of these 2 work dvi equiped 2008 macbook pro? monitors both have dvi inputs; however, i've read posts here , there of mac users experiencing issues these. unfortunately, these posts quite old , wonder whether issues still current these monitors.

let me know if have feedback - or if there other 23 or 24i ips monitor should consider , work mac setup...

hi there. have dell u2410 hooked mac mini server. i'm using "mini displayport"-to-"full size displayport" cable though, not dvi. monitor has tons of input options...at 1 point had mac, pc, ps3, ps2, , netbook hooked @ once.

it's worth, i'm switching inputs , forth between pc (dvi) , mac (displayport), , once in while mac mini stops sending video signal (or maybe monitor stops seeing it), , have unplug , re-plug displayport connection, fixes it.

anyway, love monitor itself. although it's damn bright, have brightness set 0 when i'm working in finder , apps. if i'm watching movie or tv show, turn 50 or so.

i've had dell coming on 2 years (april 2010), no issues. people may not touch-buttons (as opposed actual buttons)...i've gotten used them.

anyway, not saying should buy 1 or other, hope find , has no issues you!

p.s. oh picture-in-picture, 1 digital source , 1 analog source...so like, dvi , composite works, or hdmi , component works, hdmi , dvi doesn't work.
