copying the macHD files

hi,

got couple questions

bought brand new macbook pro 13 inch , want copy files old macbook pro.

have old machd in enclosure

should copy , replace files in new machd example (applications , library , system , users) ?

or there special way have it. want files how before on old machd.

use carboncopycloner or superduper make 1:1 copy of old hdd new hdd, unless have installed mac os x onto new hdd.
can use migration assistant import user folder , applications.
