Next step?

hey all,

former graphic/web designer diving objective-c programming here. i've finished latest versions of kochan , hillegass books on programming in objective-c. feel have solid base foundation of language i'm struggling on starting first app. neither of books dove using ui frameworks or creating custom graphics/uis own apps

recommendations on sites or books take me next step? i've got full app mockups finished in photoshop i'm dying start coding if knew start.

i think no book teach how create own custom ui's, @ least, none of em found, had big struggle there too, googling each component, of how start, how subclass stuff tabbar @ bottom etc, can make own interface..
think you're in long shot, if have more specific questions on how build ui etc, head back, , we'll give shot.
