hello,
have been searching solution decided post question. i've come across several threads error message "couldn't unmount disk" disk utility every "solution" i've tried gives me same message.
long story short, have late 2011 mbp i've had couple months. have (had) windows 7 running on bootcamp on partitioned ssd put in. few days ago updates failed , computer wouldn't turn on reinstalled lion via internet recovery (which awesome btw).
decided want away windows 7 partition , go how when got computer , reformat ssd , re-install lion using 1 partition.
after several unsuccessful attempts can not done. created bootable usb recovery drive lion recovery assistant , trying restart + holding option key can boot it.
once boot recovery drive thought supposed able erase both of partitions , change partitioning on ssd 1 partition. every time try "couldn't unmount disk" error. have no idea try next or can do. i've tried "verifying" , "repairing" both of partitions, directly mounting , unmounting, etc, no luck.
can tell me how wipe both partitions ssd disk utility , start fresh?
many in advance!!!
lhan
diskutility doesn't seem fault resistant program.
have tried booting linus or windows startup disk.
@ least formatting part should fine.
