(new) iPad Won't Connect to 5ghz Network

i'm sure i'm missing here, i'm having issues interference video baby monitor on 2.4ghz band - slow.

unfortunately, appears apple did away interference robustness on recent time capsule firmware. thought if ipad on 5ghz may interference issue. i'm able see 5ghz network, when try connect , enter password, says "failed join" , "unable join network".

missing something?

 

try clicking blue arrow , "forget network." if fails, try reset network settings under general.
