there have been threads people have ipad 2 , skipping 3, , people have 1 or 2 , buying 3, happy enough 1 plan wait 4? skipped 1 when released, ipad didn't interest me, enough people convinced me of awesomeness decided 2. out of stock everywhere, , when at&t dumped stock of ipad 1's @ low prices, decided buy 64 gb 3g model $529 rather wait 2's become readily available. vowed that, if liked 1, i'd upgrade 3 if had retina display. well, i've absolutely loved 1, , use every day. i'm glad sprang 64 gb model, download lot of content. haven't used 3g feature, though. ios 5 causing 1 crash lot, 5.1 has pretty fixed that. apps running more slowly, it's far unbearable. overall, use for, 1 functioning day bought year ago. so, as i'd love have 3, can't justify spending $699 64 gb model, , i'm worried 16 or 32 gb model wouldn't enouigh me. i'm going wait , see people have current storage capacities, once apps beef high-res file sizes. i'm budgeting iphone 5 year, , 2008 mbp starting show age, , i'm considering upgrading mac year. i'm going see if can hold out year , wait ipad 4 (or new 2013 ipad, if prefer). anyway, many people talking how unusable ipad 1 has become, i'm curious how many other people find ipad 1 quite usable.
didn't apple sell 15-18 million ipad's (first generation), doubt same 15-18 million original ipad owners going upgrading every year.
