Why is the iPad so complicated/frustrating?

i guess had wrong idea apple software. thought supposed user friendly/easy.
download movie , want transfer on ipad, it's forcing me use itunes. found out plays mp4 files need convert movie too! should have went android tablet. nexus easy drag , drop.
