SSD + HDD = Didn't work

hello all,
today decided @ last put hdd on caddy , the ssd in.
@ end, well, ssd working , installed lion on it, system couldn't 'see' old disk on caddy. took off , put dvd in again! have gone wrong? faulty caddy?

 

what exact macbook exact caddy have?
