No Display on Mac Pro After Update/Dead Graphic Card?

when turn computer on, display blank know computer running fine. can connect via file share , screen sharing. bad graphic card? below story of has happened far. appreciated.

on weekend decided upgrade snow leopard because i'm getting point programs require minimum of snow leopard. installed next update showed in "software update". weekend computer worked fine. took computer work on monday , still worked, printer did not. said needed update again via software update did security update in there. upon restart, computer turned on display black.

panicked , didn't know do. since then, have been able access files through file sharing , knew computer fine, no display. wanted connect through screen sharing didn't have enabled. figured out way enable , can see on macbook pro. yay! however, looking @ graphic/display section in system profiler, blank. i've attached picture of below.

question is, mean graphics card dead , in need of replacing? cause of update? card should upgrade to? appreciated.
