iPad 3 Log in failures

i have spent last 3 hours trying log youtube on ipad no prevail.

have youtube account using yahoo e-mail , username log in, evreytime log in on youtube app asks me log in on website redirects me safari, try log in , whatever password or username put says wrong or whatever e-mail put says wrong except gmail e-mail not linked youtube account.

enter yahoo one, works go youtube app , asks me log in , repeats same process on again.

on earth this?
