Dual Monitors, Multiple Desktops ans OSX10.7.3

i've had imac week , first post. prior last week, ran exclusively in win7-64 environment.

when first started imac, created new user rather migrate win7 machine. started setting osx preferences , peripherals started learning osx , lion.
using mini displayport adapter, attached samsung 26" hdtv second display. of went well.

next thing did set each display unique background image.

next step explore adding desktops. added several. each desktop pair assigned unique pair of background images. @ point experimented briefly choosing desktop color instead of image. defined lemon yellow background color did not keep it, reverting background image.

far behaving expected, 4 desktops, 8 unique images.

other things experimented with:
  • unchecked "show dashboard space" eliminate this
  • adjusted various settings font size, info parameters, ttc.

yesterday installed 10.7.3 update. on rebooting, desktop on primary monitor turned yellow. secondary monitor , other desktops retained assigned images. , appears the desktop image desktop1,primary monitor there because can see through translucent menu bar.

after research discovered apple had pulled 10.7.3 update , recommended using 10.7.3 client combo update instead. d/l'd client combo update , installed that. on reboot, yellow went away... 15 seconds. , nothing know seems fix it. i've eliminated desktops can't eliminate desktop1.

i'm not if yellow background overlay result of update or tweak did window settings. or other settings.

if has solution, help.

while on subject of desktops, when ever enlarged application full screen, goes primary display , secondary display gets charcoal pattern , unusable anything.

here screen shot of 'yellow screen. can see bits of desktop image peaking through translucent menubar.

as might expect, found , able correct cause of yellow screen not long after posting initial post here.

culprit app named instantshot! screen capture utility running resident preferences set hide wall paper.

fwiw, still if possible on second issue being able access second display when app in full screen mode
