Resolved Please explain this retina display thing

don't it. calculations? fill in?

how determine if display 'retina qualified' or not?

edit: there seems misunderstanding. understand "retina display" is, want know how can calculate whether display 'retina display' or not?

example.

how can figure out whether 20 inch display resolution of 1920 1080 average viewing distance of 20 inches retina display?

(just 3.5" display resolution of 960 640 @ distance of 10 inches retina display).
(just 9.7" display resolution of 2048 1536 @ distance of 15 inches retina display).

how calculate it? :)

basically retina display combination between pixel density , how far away you're viewing it. think it's applies mobile devices hold close you. can't see pixels on 42 led hdtv hardly makes retina display.

it's inability distinguish single pixels on iphones or ipads when hold them @ average distance
