deleted hotmail from iPhone 4 lost all contacts and calendar.. help!

hey everyone!

having problems sending email through hotmail on iphone 4 , thought deleting account mail app, solve problems. after deleted , re-added mail app again, noticed contacts , calendar had been deleted , replaced hotmail contacts. tried restore backup, apparently there no recent ones use.

know of way contacts , calendar back?? i'm annoyed @ point, appreciated!

did have active icloud account setup on phone before happened?
