Getting IPhone 4 or 4S from US to India

hi all,

planning buy iphone 4 or 4s myself cost consideration.

in india, iphone 4 or 4s >= rs 40,000
in us, iphone 4 or 4s( contract) = 200-300$ ( approx) = rs 15000-20000
in us, iphone 4 or 4s (without contract) = 700$ = rs 35000

means anyone,the way cheap iphone contract us.

following questions.
1) able use in india ? ( jailbreak etc.)
--- contract ?
---how can break contract ? (in clear manner)
2) how can brought india ? ( taxes/customs duty if couriered)
3) things need taken care before bringing india ?
( use before before bringing india)
4) able upgrade software in india ?
5) warranty in india ?

have read many threads want streamlined answers thread when finish thread, end purchasing iphone can work.
