Updated apps won't load

i have ipad 2 , noticed 3 apps needed update afternoon. no problem, hit update all. go "waiting" status, none of them start load. , not updating @ all.

waited while, thinking servers might jammed or something. still nothing. turned off ipad (all way, shut down) , started up.. still nothing.

thoughts?

i'm getting too. got ibook won't download. odd. hope knows what's going on!
