Slight touchpad errors after 2.75 years

my applecare warranty ends end of march 2012.

track pad has slight annoying fault in occasionally, when press normal, doesnt respond, have put more pressure down, when booting / awaking sleep, after time, trackpad doesnt respond click - have press bit more harder.

booked genius bar appointment, on morning checked , trackpad seemed work ok - seems pain.

genius ignore me if show them , can press it?

 

it possibly battery swelling. guess though..
